Peter T. Priess founded the eponymous Vienna-based company in 1975. He had already proven his creative talent with several famous Viennese architectural constructions. Encouraged by renowned artists, Peter Priess wanted to create something special and from the heart. The idea behind the company was to revive old traditions. Peter Priess' wife, Dora Priess, also fell in love with the idea of creating original, handmade products for the two most beautiful times of the year: Easter and Christmas. The inspiration for the designs comes from the founders' travels around the world. Peter and Doris Priess could not and would not reveal all their secrets, but all Priess products are 100% handmade and painted by skilled artists..
